  • District Dogwood/Authority Awards are intended for students who excel in the non-academic areas: sports, business, fine arts, trades etc.  Students are asked to put on a presentation for a committee at each school. EOP students would be considered along with the students at the school in their normal catchment area. To apply for this award please visit your catchment area school in early April to pick up an application package. 

2016 COFI Convention Legacy Scholarships

The Council of Forest Industries is very pleased to once again offer ten $1000.00 scholarships to deserving 2016 graduating high school students enrolling in one of the 10 BC interior post-secondary institutions for September 2016.  These scholarships are open to students enrolling in technical trades, business, or science programs (see application for specific programs).

 

Attached you will find a list of our 2015 COFI Convention Legacy Scholarship recipients as well as an application form for our 2016 COFI Convention Legacy Scholarships.  Please help us in making this scholarship information available to your graduating students.

Jack Farley - Youth Sport Achievement Award

This $2000 scholarship opportunity is available for Grade 12 athletes. Deadline for applications is Friday June 5, 2015.

Bostock Fallis Bursary

This is a newly minted bursary/scholarship opportunity for TWO BC Interior Gr 12 students with financial need ($2000) - to be selected by the BC Cattlemens' Association but not necessarily restricted to  4-H, agriculture & ranching goals.

Note:  community service requirement and letter of reference.

National Union of Public and General Employees (BCGEU) Entrance Scholarships

Please find information from the National Union of Public and General Employees (ie BCGEU) who are offering FOUR (4) categoreis of entrance scholarships for 2015.  Please advertise to Grade 12's.

North Okanagan Hot Rod & Custom Car Club Bursary

The North Okanagan Hot Rod & Custom Car Club "Cam Jammers" offer a $450 bursary to a graduating student from any SD83 high school who is intent on pursuing a Canadian recognized certificated program in automotive related trades.

 

Names and a one-page bio & future plan c/with transcript should be sent to Ingrid Belt at the Board Office by May 1st.

 

The Hot Rod Club will choose the recipient.
